On Wednesday 4th November, AustCham Thailand held AustCham Thailand Member Briefing on “Linfox’s Got Talent!”. 11 NOV – AustCham Industry Engagement Dinner: “Building & Construction”
On Wednesday 11th November 2020, AustCham Thailand held its inaugural ‘Industry Engagement Dinner’, with the first focus industry being “Building and Construction”. Held in conjunction with the Australian Embassy and Austrade, this exclusive industry dinner provided a forum to discuss and share challenges, opportunities and identify areas where AustCham can best support our members in this industry. We were once again honoured to have Australian Ambassador, H.E. Allan McKinnon, attending this dinner.

On Friday 13 November, Austcham Thailand in collaboration with Australian Alumni and partner chambers, held the Joint Chambers Phuket Business Briefing on “Straight Talk Phuket High Season: A Deep Dive into Phuket’s Hotel Tourism & Sustainability in the challenging months ahead”. Thank you to all the panelists, Anthony Lark; President of the Phuket Hotels Association & Board Member, Montara Hospitality Group, Jayne MacDougall; Director of Risk Management, Le Meridien Phuket Beach & Resort, Board Member of the Phuket Disaster, Recovery and Resilience and Phuket Hotels Association’s Environmental Champion, Brad Edman; General Manager Renaissance Phuket Resort &Spa and Multi Property Vice President- Phuket, Dominic Egger; General Manager, Wyndham Grand Phuket Kalim Bay and Michal Zitek; Area General Manager, Angsana Laguna Phuket, for taking their time to share with us their experiences throughout this challenging period and their outlooks for Phuket hotel tourism and sustainability. 18 NOV – AustCham’s Small Business & Entrepreneur (SB&E) Showcase
On Wednesday 18th November 2020, AustCham Thailand held the Small Business & Entrepreneur (SB&E) Showcase at Glowfish Sathorn. In a challenging year, we were grateful to be able to support our member businesses, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their products & services, as well as paving a way for them to meet with potential clients and partners. Thank you to all SB&E member businesses and attendees who joined us for making this event successful. Not to mention, Glowfish Sathorn, for a wonderful venue function.

25 NOV – AustCham’s Customs Committee presents: An Update from The Thai Customs Department
On Wednesday 25th November, AustCham Thailand, together with the Australian Embassy Thailand, held an information session with the Thai Customs Department on various topics, including E–Commerce opportunities, updates and implementations, Customs Alliance (CA) and Free Trade Agreements (FTA) updates. The presentations were followed by an Open Forum discussion allowing the members to raise questions on concerning issues. The event ended with a networking session where the members had a chance to have a private discussions with the Thai Customs representatives.
27 NOV – AustCham’s CSR Project at Ban Had Ngiew School in Kanchanaburi
On Friday 27th November, AustCham Thailand team went to visit Ban Had Ngiew School, a primary school near the Hellfire Pass Museum, to officially open a Concrete Sports Court attributed to the donations from AustCham members and our partners. In addition, we held English-teaching games and activities together with the children and distributed them essential stationaries and sport equipment to improve their learning environment. As an added treat, we had KFC lunch boxes for their lunch.
