3 NOV –  AustCham Thailand Breakfast Briefing on “GET A MOVE ON with Bangkok Hospital”

On Wednesday 3rd November, AustCham Thailand held its first Breakfast Briefing after the lockdown on “GET A MOVE ON with Bangkok Hospital”, where our speakers discussed physical and mental COVID-19 symptoms, sharing insights to neurological and mental health amid the outbreak of COVID-19 and the process of understanding and adapting through this pandemic. We would like to thank you our speakers Dr. Chanjira Satukijchai, Neurologist and Dr. Anothai Soonsawat, Geriatric Psychiatrist from Bangkok Hospital, and our venue Mövenpick BDMS Wellness Center, for making the event successful.

10 NOV – Joint Chambers Phuket Business Briefing: “Open for Business”

On Wednesday 10th November, AustCham Thailand, in collaboration with Australian Alumni Thailand, AMCHAM Thailand, British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT), Belgian-Luxembourg/Thai Chamber of Commerce, CanCham Thailand, Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC), German-Thai Chamber of Commerce and  Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce, held the Joint Chambers Phuket Business Briefing on “Open for Business” prior to the Sundowners. Thank you to all the panelists, Matthew Cutt; Partner Advisory, BDO in Thailand; Ishan Shah; Director of Tax, BDO in Thailand, Pakamon Charubhati; Director of Tax, BDO in Thailand, for sharing insightful information and optimism regarding expats looking to relocate or invest and Phuket’s tourist industry and divest in the hospitality. 

16 NOV – AustCham Thailand Webinar: Wellness/ Eco-sustainability the future of Thai tourism

On Tuesday 16 November 2021, AutCham Thailand held its webinar on “Wellness/ Eco-sustainability the future of Thai tourism” featuring two leading organisations in the field. we would like to thank our speakers; Mr. Krod Rojanastien; President of the Thai Spa Association and Head of Hua Hin Recharge – Private Sector, Mr. Barry Sullivan; Senior Sales Manager at Chiva-Som, and Ms. Carissa Nimah; Guardian of the Brand (Chief Commercial Officer) at Soneva, as well as our moderator, Mr. Wayne Williams, CFO of Minor Hotels, for taking their time providing us insightful information regarding he future of eco-sustainability and wellness tourism.

23 NOV – AustCham Thailand’s Manufacturing meeting: “Manufacturing Behaviour, Challenges and Opportunities during the current economic and pandemic situation”

On Tuesday 23 November 2021, AustCham Thailand’s Manufacturing Members held a meeting on “Manufacturing Behaviour, Challenges and Opportunities during the current economic and pandemic situation” at King Furniture Thai Co., Ltd in Rayong. The main topic of discussion was on challenges involving international freight and increased costs, with knowledge sharing among the group proving useful as always. A special thanks to Hendrik VanAsselt from Hellmann Worldwide Logistics for his presentation.

24 NOV – Business Briefing for AustCham’s Small & Medium Enterprise (SME) Members

On Wednesday 24 November 2021, AustCham Thailand, with support from the Australian Embassy Bangkok, held a SMEs Business Briefing at the Australian Embassy Auditorium. We would like to thank our speaker, Michael Helleman, Senior Trade Commissioner, Austrade, for providing us with updates on Austrade’s services, information and assistance available for Australian SMEs. Also, thank you to H.E. Allan McKinnon and his team for their kind hospitality and wonderful cocktail function afterwards.

26 NOV – Joint Chambers Phuket Business Briefing on “How to build back better after the pandemic?”

On Friday 26 November, AustCham Thailand, in collaboration with Australian Alumni, American Chamber of Commerce in Thailand (AMCHAM), British Chamber of Commerce Thailand (BCCT), Belgian-Luxembourg/Thai Chamber of Commerce, CanCham Thailand, Franco-Thai Chamber of Commerce (FTCC), German-Thai Chamber of Commerce (GTCC) and the Netherlands-Thai Chamber of Commerce (NTCC), held Joint Chambers Phuket Business Briefing on “How to build back better after the pandemic?”. Thank you to the speaker, Mr. Sithichai Veerananchai, MD, Emergency Physician and Medical Control Physician for BDMS Alarm center at Bangkok Hospital for sharing insightful information and optimism regarding changes in COVID-19 post-pandemic world and tips on encountering challenges both for business and well-being.
