Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok to mark France’s National Day with a special edition of its popular weekend feast, including a French Corner and half a lobster thermidor for every guest

Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, the iconic Luxury Collection Hotel in the beating heart of Bangkok, is celebrating Bastille Day – France’s national day – with a special edition of its Sunday Jazzy Brunch. Staged at Rossini’s, the Michelin-rated restaurant, and The Living Room, Bangkok’s premier jazz lounge, this is an unmissable occasion for all lovers of fine French cuisine.

For one day only, on 14th July, hotel guests, local residents and discerning visitors can come together and embark on a gastronomic voyage with ports of call all around the world – including an extended stop in France. The hotel’s talented culinary team will present an extensive selection of dishes that transport the taste buds to the bistros and brasseries of Paris, the rolling hills of Provence, the stylish promenades and cafés of the Côte d’Azur, and the famous vineyards of Bordeaux and Burgundy.

Every epicurean adventure can commence with succulent seafood on ice, including Alaskan king crab, rock lobster, New Zealand mussels, blue swimmer crab, tiger prawns, white prawns, sea snails and razor clam, plus freshly-shucked French oysters and smoked salmon with all the traditional condiments.

A dedicated French Corner will showcase an amazing array of authentic delicacies, including saumon fumé jus de persil (smoked salmon with parsley sauce), brie aux petites verdures, vinaigrette aux noix du Brésil (brie with small greens & Brazil nut vinaigrette), velouté d’asperges à la crème de truffe noire (chilled asparagus velouté with black truffle cream), rillettes de canard (duck rillettes), crabe pomme verte salade éclair (pastry with crab meat and green apple salad), plus pâté de foie du poulet (chicken liver pâté), and petit croque monsieur (mini ham & cheese toasted sandwiches).

Diners can also discover French regional classics such as bouillabaisse (Provençal-style seafood soup), quiche Lorraine (savory egg tart with bacon, ham, cheese & onion), galette des rois aux épinards (“king cake” with spinach), and salade Niçoise (traditional Nice salad), while main courses include coq au vin (chicken in red wine), saumon en croûte (salmon Wellington), and canard à l’orange (duck with orange sauce). Every diner will also be treated to half a lobster thermidor, to be served at the table.

These French flavours will be available alongside all the usual Sunday Jazzy Brunch favorites, such as roasted and carved meats (prime rib of beef, whole duck and lamb chops, accompanied with Lyonnaise potatoes and ratatouille), plus an Italian pasta station, tempting Thai dishes, Chinese delights, a dedicated Indian corner, and seared scallops. And of course, every afternoon can end with sweet treats such as crème brûlée (vanilla cream custard), tarte tatin aux pommes (apple tart), gâteau opéra (layered coffee cake), madeleines (shell-shaped sponge cakes) and more, plus a live crêpes Suzette station.

Naturally, this upbeat experience can be enlivened with a wide range of beverages, including French fine premium beverages by the glass or bottle, as well as live jazz music by Jazziam band. So, don’t miss out – gather your loved ones, say “vive la France” and raise a glass to La République this Bastille Day!

The special French edition of the Sunday Jazzy Brunch will be staged at Rossini’s and The Living Room on Sunday 14th July 2024 (12:00 – 15:00 hrs.), priced at THB 2,690++. Guests who book via LINE Shop can take advantage of a special price – just THB 2,500 net.
