Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit’s premier live jazz lounge to welcome legendary Japanese jazz pianist and top Korean vocalist for a one-of-a-kind concert in the heart of Bangkok on October 22nd, 2024
Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok is inviting music lovers to experience a highly intimate and elegant evening of world-class jazz this October, as The Living Room, the Thai capital’s premier live jazz lounge, welcomes two of world’s leading artists, Tsuyoshi Yamamoto and Asia’s Moon Haewon, for an exclusive performance.
In the stylish and sophisticated surroundings of The Living Room, overlooking Sukhumvit Road in the beating heart of Bangkok, legendary Japanese jazz pianist Tsuyoshi Yamamoto and his trio band, which also includes Hiroshi Kagawa on double bass and Toshio Osumi on drums, will come together with Moon Haewon, the popular Korean jazz singer, for an uplifting evening of smooth tunes – including their latest, critically-acclaimed collaborations.
Staged after dark on October 22nd, 2024, this is one of only two dates being performed by these celebrated artists in Bangkok, following a major concert at the city’s 600-seat Aksra Theater on October 21st. With its limited capacity of just 120 guests, intimate ambiance, table seating and soft lighting, The Living Room will provide a one-of-a-kind opportunity for hotel guests and local residents to experience these talented international musicians, up-close and personal.
The elder statesman of Japanese jazz, Tsuyoshi Yamamoto continues to showcase his musical brilliance with his talented trio band. Now aged 75, he has enjoyed a remarkable career that has spanned over six decades and more than 20 albums. His latest recording, “A Shade of Blue”, is a personal love letter to the piano trio format.
Moon Haewon is one of Korea’s top jazz vocalists, with a crystal-clear voice that soars above the stage. The former lead singer with pop group Winterplay, she began her solo career in 2016 and her debut album, “Kiss Me”, reached number one on the iTunes jazz chart. Her new album with Tsuyoshi Yamamoto is a must-listen for music lovers.
The Tsuyoshi Yamamoto Trio and Moon Haewon will be supported in Bangkok by the Natt Buntita & Sunny Trio, a special collaboration between two of Thailand’s top jazz artists: talented pianist and composer Rattana “Sunny” Wongsansern, and award-winning vocalist Natt Buntita Prachamorn.
This exclusive concert at The Living Room will be staged on Tuesday October 22nd, 2024, from 19:00 – 22:00 hrs. Ticket start from THB 6,000 net, including two drinks and pre-arrival canapés.
