Message From Chamber – April 2021

Brendan 1

“Dear Austcham Members and Friends,

“It feels like familiar territory as we once again face a difficult period with government restrictions. First and foremost, we hope that you and your families are healthy and safe during this time.

For the Chamber, our events in the month of May face uncertainty, as we wait to hear from the government on updates of COVID cases and level of restrictions. However the one thing that we can assure our members is that we are still working behind the scenes and are ready to deliver essential updates and relevant knowledge sharing sessions either online or in person when permitted.

April is usually a special month for AustCham Thailand, and it’s unfortunate that once again we had to cancel our ANZAC Day Tour to Kanchanaburi. While official services were cancelled due to COVID, an online service was held with  Australian Ambassador, H.E. Mr Allan McKinnon, New Zealand Chargé d’Affaires, James Andersen, in attendance, and a small group representing the Thai-Australian-New Zealand communities in Thailand made their way to Hellfire Pass for an informal remembrance ceremony on ANZAC Day 2021.

I’m happy to deliver some positive news, as we welcome Silk Legal as a Silver Sponsor for 2021. Silk Legal is a boutique law firm based in Bangkok that specializes in commercial transactions, foreign direct investment, technology, blockchain and artificial intelligence. For more information, visit: https://silklegal.com/

We are also excited to welcome 10 new members this month and look forward to engaging them in our business community.

Finally, remember to keep an eye out for the new episode of AustCham TV: Business, Connections, Community later this month.

Stay safe and well”
