“Dear AustCham Members,
It is with honour that I can continue to be part of the AustCham Board and now in my sixth year of service. This with the added privilege as a Vice President, with Matthew Cutts now taking over the role as Treasurer. The 2023 Board of Directors is developing as an exciting, professional, and highly motivate team with a great desire to serve the members and improve our ability to showcase innovation for change. The emphasis is on strategic direction with three foundational pillars: Business, Community, and Connections to build on the existing strengths.
This year the Board has been proactive in connecting with members and potential members in the support for Business connections and opportunities.
Our Sundowner networking events during July where certainly well represented by the members and AustCham team has certainly excelled in the quality of these events. Bangkok Sundowners at The Okura Prestige and sponsored by Meinhardt, Hua Hin Sundowners at Laksasubha Hua Hin and sponsored by Bangkok Hospital and finally Pattaya Sundowner at the Pullman Pattaya Hotel G. Many thanks to the Venue and Corporate Sponsors in making July very special and much appreciate all the members that attend to make these events successful.
From the Financial side, now just over halfway through this financial period, AustCham has continued to meet its budget expectations, both on a P&L basis and Cash Flow. Membership remains strong at 408 with expectations for growth during the remainder of 2023.
Sponsorship we are pleased to announce a new Platinum sponsor Kingsgate and with great appreciation we look forward to long association.
Currently our CSR committee under Saj’s leadership and with major support from Fenix XCell has seen amazing steps forward in the support for funding for charities, In July a donation of 200k was presented to Duang Prateep Foundation
Our sub-committees continue to develop with new initiatives, The Young Professionals led by Joana Button, this is certainly an exciting development for our members to take advantage of the opportunity through their staff development.
If you are interested in contributing to our sub-committees, we are also engaged with Advocacy, Digital Economy & Marketing, D&I, Hospitality & Tourism, SME, and Manufacturing
