Message From Chamber – July 2024

Jan Rohweder

Dear AustCham Members,

July was an incredible month for AustCham, filled with engaging events and meaningful interactions that highlighted the vibrancy of our community.

Sundowners at Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit
Our Sundowners event at the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit was a remarkable success, with over 220 attendees enjoying the stunning rooftop views of Bangkok. We were fortunate to have excellent weather, which allowed everyone to fully enjoy the evening. Special thanks to our Educational Sponsor, Nurture Higher Education, for their support in making this event possible.

Launch of the Digital Subcommittee
We are excited to introduce the newly established Digital Subcommittee, dedicated to empowering AustCham members with essential knowledge and insights on digital innovations. Our mission is to foster a community proficient in leveraging technology for business excellence. This month, we hosted an SME morning coffee event focused on “Navigating Digital Issues for SMEs,” followed by a workshop on “The Proactive Use of AI Tools for Business.” The diverse participation and enthusiastic response from our members were truly inspiring, demonstrating a keen interest in digital transformation. We continue to plan exciting workshops and events for this year, aimed at keeping our members at the forefront of digital trends.

Site Visit and ESB Sundowners in Pattaya
We also hosted a site visit at NS Bluescope Rayong, followed by an outstanding ESB Sundowners event in Pattaya. With over 200 guests in attendance, it was a great opportunity to engage with our regional members and explore new business opportunities. We extend our heartfelt thanks to NS Bluescope Rayong for allowing us to visit their factory and see firsthand how they operate. A big thank you also to our sponsors, WHA and Bluescope, for their generous support in making these events successful.

Looking Ahead
As we move into August, we are excited about our upcoming events, including Sundowners in Bangkok and Phuket. Additionally, we are looking forward to our Charity Golf Day on August 5th, a wonderful opportunity to support our community initiatives while enjoying a day of golf.
We are grateful for your continued support and participation in AustCham activities. Together, we are building a dynamic and thriving community. We look forward to seeing you at our future events and continuing to foster strong connections and collaboration.

Warm regards,

Jan Rohweder
