2024 is ending with 2025 just around the corner and we are working through the events. Thank you to all of Sponsors and Members for your support both in the past and into the future. November / December 2024 has once again seen many interesting and diverse events.
Phuket Sundowners
Our Phuket Sundowners we were blessed with a wonderful briefing on “Crafting Tomorrow’s Hospitality: Modernizing Workforce Training in Tourism” with special thank you to Steve Healy and Nurture Higher Education and Global Academy at Siam University, along with our panel. The Networking event was also exceptional along with the venue and food made possible by Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town led by Pamela Ong as the General Manager and of course Lady Pies and The Phuket News, thank you Nicholas and Jason for kindly support.
Site Visit to Chatree Gold Mine at Phichit (Kingsgate/Akara Resources)
25 members travelled to Chatree Gold Mine at Phichit for a day trip and witnessed the full operations of the Gold Mine. Certainly, an impressive operation with great attention to process and safety. Also, the interaction of Kingsgate & Akara Resources with the surrounding community was certainly as impressive. We finished the tour with a Tree Planting activity which was certainly a bit of fun, but also demonstrated the ongoing activities in environmental management. To the team at Akara Resources a great thank you for the hospitality and execution of what was both an educational and interactive event.
NextGen – Christmas Party
Our Young Professionals Team finished the year with a Xmas Get Together Multi-Chamber event and from all accounts it was a great evening held at Aesops. NextGen has certainly developed during 2024 and is looking forward to 2025.
Christmas Reception
Our premier Christmas Reception at the Australian Embassy was a great event and well attended. Thank you to the Ambassador and the Embassy for the briefing and their support. Thank you to our event sponsors DWP, Kingsgate/Akara Resources, Bangkok Hospital, Blackmore and our Catering sponsor Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit. Congratulations to Wayne Williams from Minor for the Presidents’ Award.
