F*nkytown will be hosting an exciting evening on 28 December 2023 for its official launch with its first guest behind the bar, Shingo Gokan, the driving force behind SG Group and the brains behind the World’s 50 Best Bars such as Speak Low in Shanghai and The SG Club in Tokyo. This will also be Gokan’s first shift in Bangkok after over three years. Presented in collaboration with The House of Suntory, this event brings together a reunion of sensei Gokan and kōhai Pae Ketumarn, F*nkytown’s Group Beverage Manager, who has trained under Gokan for most of his bartending career since 2017 across Sober Company in Shanghai and The SG Club in Tokyo, Japan.
Gokan, a trailblazer in the cocktail world, will showcase his new signature creations exclusively for the night. Save the date for 28 December 2023, Thursday, from 8 pm to 11 pm, promising an unforgettable night of expertly crafted cocktails and unparalleled energy between the two. DJ TAKAMICHI, spinning city-pop beats to complement the experience, adds a layer of vibrancy to the night. F*nkytown’s kitchen team will also be presenting food specials for the night, such as the Roku Gin Scallop Aguachile, Ebi Katsu Sando with local river prawns and desserts like the Suntory Kakubin Whisky Sour Sorbet. Limited seating is available for the night; reservations are highly recommended to secure a table at the bar!
