Introducing Dr. Sascha Heckmann, our new Head of School at International School Bangkok! With over 20 years of combined experience in American public schools and international private schools, Dr. Heckmann brings a wealth of expertise to our community.
His journey began as a social studies teacher and soccer coach; since then, he has held various leadership positions, including High School Principal at Shanghai American School and Head of School at the International School of Mozambique. His widespread experience and international exposure have honed his global education perspective, enriching his approach to education and leadership.
His dedication to lifelong learning is evident – he holds a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership as well as additional certifications in School Business, Human Resources, and Redesigning Instruction. His passion for innovative educational practices led him to co-author a book on Personalized Learning and work as an educational consultant. Dr. Heckmann joins us as a valuable asset together with his accomplished wife, Nola, who will teach science in the Middle School, and their two children, Maggie and Sutton, who will also attend ISB. Let’s extend a warm welcome to Dr. Heckmann and his family as they begin this exciting new chapter with ISB!
