Goji Kitchen + Bar Presents Dramatic Bluefin Tuna Carving Show and Japanese Culinary Fiesta

Goji Kitchen + Bar, the international culinary marketplace at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park, is inviting hotel guests and local residents to discover the finest flavors of Japan this month, with an epicurean fiesta that includes a live bluefin tuna carving demonstration by a Japanese master chef, and the chance to savor the highest-grade sushi and sashimi.

On 28 – 29 June 2024, as part of Goji Kitchen + Bar’s International Weekend Buffet Dinner, Chef Jay, a sushi master, will stage a spectacular display of gastronomic theater as he expertly carves a whole 80 – 90kg Spanish Bluefin tuna – a highly immersive and Instagrammable event! Diners will then be able to enjoy fresh cuts of this delicacy as part of a memorable evening meal.

Supplied by Fuentes, the bluefin specialist which has been sustainably sourcing this sublime seafood for more than 50 years, this fantastic fish is prized for its exquisite taste, texture and the perfect level of fattiness. With its responsible fisheries in the Atlantic and Mediterranean, Fuentes is the preferred provider of tuna to many of the world’s leading of Japanese restaurants. 

This dramatic demonstration will form part of a three-day Japanese fiesta at Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park. Accompanied by the highly-skilled culinary experts at Goji Kitchen + Bar, Chef Jay will present the highest quality sashimi and tataki cuts (o-toro and chu-toro) as part of an extended Sushi & Sashimi Station, including hand rolls, nigiri, maki, and negitoro.

These delicacies can be perfectly paired with a selection of premium sakes and handcrafted cocktails, plus Japanese-inspired mocktails and soft drinks.

Guests can also embark on a gastronomic journey around the globe at Goji Kitchen + Bar, with an extensive array of fresh seafood on ice, including rock lobster, Alaskan king crab, New Zealand mussels, blue crab and scallops, plus five types of oyster (French, Irish and locally-sourced Thai), succulent meats cooked on the Parilla grill, including prime rib of beef, wagyu steak, lamb rack and crispy pork belly, plus seared scallops, live grilled Italian seafood, wagyu beef noodles and a dedicated Shabu Shabu Station. And of course, every meal can end on a sweet note with a selection of delectable desserts.
