Feel the Splash of the Songkran Festival
On Sunday April 13th, couples, families and friends can make a splash with a full day of Songkran celebrations! The festivities start with a traditional long drum parade, which will wind its way from the lobby to the beach, followed by an elegant water blessing ceremony at the Big Fish Patio and an opening speech by Gerd Kotlorz, the resort’s general manager.
Then, it’s time for the fun to begin, as guests are invited to take part in an action-packed afternoon of water games. Revellers can gather at the resort’s lagoon pool and beach for splash battles, tug of war, water balloon volleyball, and blindfold pot hitting games – a wonderful way to cool off during the afternoon heat.
Then, as the sun sets over the Andaman Sea, a Songkran Night BBQ Buffet Dinner (18:00 – 22:00 hrs, THB 1,699++ per person) will be staged on the Big Fish Lawn, showcasing the authentic flavors of Thai New Year, accompanied with traditional performances and plenty of kids’ activities. With live stations showcasing Southern Thai delights such as beef curry with freshly-made rotis, phad Thai goong, and tom yum goong, plus fried whole sea bass with sweet & sour sauce, crispy pork belly, chargrilled Andaman tiger prawns and rock lobster, Australian beef sirloin, and assorted skewers, plus Thai sweets and refreshing ice creams, this is an evening that will live long in the memory.
Egg-citing Easter Celebrations for All Ages
Throughout Easter (April 17th – 20th), loved ones can indulge in a special Easter High Tea at The Lounge (15:00 – 18:00 hrs, THB 1,495++ per couple) with a selection of handcrafted sweet and savory bites, such as smoked salmon & cream cheese blinis, quail’s eggs with tamarind sauce, chocolate éclairs, macarons and Easter scones, all accompanied with premium tea and freshly-brewed coffee
Then on April 20th, Phuket Marriott Resort and Spa, Nai Yang Beach will set the stage for an egg-citing Easter Sunday celebration! Children will be able to take part in a fun-filled day of activities with a Mini Party at the Kids’ Club, including face painting, egg painting, Easter bag making and more, before parents join their little ones for a family Easter egg hunt at 17:00 hrs.
As day turns to night, all ages can savor the Easter BBQ Buffet Dinner (18:00 – 22:00 hrs, THB 1,895++ per person) a fantastic festive feast that transports guests on a culinary journey around the world. Diners can discover freshly-shucked oysters, succulent seafood on ice, a salad bar, soups, cauliflower popcorn, tempura shrimp, and mouth-watering meats and seafood including roasted Australian rib of beef, pork loin, salmon Wellington, grilled sea bass fillet and lamb stew. Lovers of Thai food can enjoy local specialties such as green curry with shrimp and massaman curry with chicken, and the evening ends on a sweet note with a variety of desserts, including Easter eggs.
