When AI teams up against Breast Cancer: Lunit Insight

By Bumrungrad Hospital

Based on statistics, breast cancer patients have up to 99% chance of survival if cancer is identified at an early stage. This survival rate can decreases down to 29% if it is identified at a later stage.

Early detection is therefore a priority. This is why Bumrungrad was the first private hospital in Thailand to introduce AI technology Lunit Insight, to assist radiologists in detecting early stages of breast cancer, through mammogram images analyses.

AI benefits:

– Helps with early stage cancer detection

– Reduces missed diagnosis

– Reduces time to diagnose diseases

– Provide data driven second opinion to doctor, helping with decision making

Mammography screening is recommended every year for women, beginning at age 40. If you have a genetic history of breast cancer, please consult with your doctor to determine the screening frequency.
